- Tapas MenuTapas - (tah-pah) - noun: A snack or appetizer, typically served with wine or beer.Spanish: lid or coverIn the early days of tapas, drinks were served with a slice of meat or cheese on top. There are many stores as to why this was done; to keep out fruit flies, to keep our sand or dust, and our favourite, using strong smelling cheese to hide the smell of the bad wine!Since we don't need to hide the smell of our good wine, we served tapas as a way to encourage conversation because people are then not so focused on an entire meal in front of them but rather on the friends and family around them. Feel free to combine our tapas into platters to create your own meal.
