  Absolutely fantastic meal with unbelievable flavors. I will definitely be coming back to this gem of a restaurant in beautiful Hermanus. The menu had so many delightful choices that I really had to consider carefully before making my choice. The Santorini Chicken had all the flavors of authentic Greek cuisine with some unusual added ingredients which sent my tastebuds to culinary heaven. The dish was served with croquettes potatoes and steamed vegetables smothered in a delicious creamy sauce and topped with roasted almonds. Highly recommended. The beetroot carpaccio I started with was light and flavorful and was delightful in presentation with its vivid colors. Served with homemade, mushroom and caper bread which was incredibly crispy this starter was the perfect pre-dinner option. We ended our evening with a flaming Cape Connection which is a 10 year old KWV brandy with a tot of Amaretto served in a hot cognac glass.   First time in La Pentola but definitely not the last. Making a selection was difficult as it everything looked so good. Started with the Outback Chicken. Rolled in Cajun spice with Honey balsamic sauce and sliced kiwi fruit. For mains, the Fettuccine Don Giovanni. Tender strips of rump steak pan fried in butter with garlic, black pepper and mushrooms with fresh herb and Cabernet cream sauce. Believe me, it doesn’t get much better than this.
