  Was looking really forward to our birthday dinner for a family of 6 as our previous visit was great.
  
  On arrival we were served complimentary pita bread with 2 dips.
  Service remains good however the food was all below average. The wraps were just about tasteless. Calamari wasn’t anything like it used to be. The meat dish was basically stew.
  I would swear the cocktails were virgin even though this was not what was ordered.
  My son was served a complimentary birthday treat with a sparkle.

  Last night I had the privilege to be invited to experience the newly renovated Pappas On The Square Restaurant at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton.
  
  New menu items were also incorporated to fit in with this brand new look.
  We had the opportunity to try a variety of the menu items, so here we go, let me show you what you can look forward to:
  Deep-fried prawns and mussel pot – both dishes were totally scrumptious!
  Deep fried white bait and feta in phyllo pastry. I took a liking to the white bait – interesting dish! And the feta in phyllo – I LOVE cheese!
  Trout ceviche! A beautiful summer dish.
  These ribs were also VERY popular!
  This is how I like my Greek salad! No lettuce and LOTS of feta and olives!
  
  What a feast! The restaurant is looking beautiful, lots of open spaces and a few intimate corner. And family-style, delicious food!
