  With such a great location Die Seekombuis could be one of the hot spots in the Paternoster area, but certainly not while managed by the current owners. We booked our wedding at Die Seekombuis and they absolutely tried to make it as difficult as possible for us to organise our wedding and to stick to any kind of wedding plan. They kept changing their stories and completely disregarded our wishes in spite of our discussions, planning and requests, and not to mention all the money we spent there. We found the owners at Die Seekombuis to be bullies to their guests, to be dishonest, unreliable and to have a complete disregard for the people spending money at their venue.   Christmas Day NIGHTMARE!! Money wasted and our whole day spoiled!! We were the 1st guests to arrive....the last to get our food. 5hours later. We spend R700 to have fresh baked bread. The crayfish came when all other guests already left. Management had no control over the rude kitchen staff and we had to ask 5 times where the main meal was. I was in tears, our whole Christmas day ruined and demanded our R700 back. Total disaster and money waisted. Will NEVER recommend to anyone. No owner in sight, no cooperation between staff and very very bad food. Spend 6 hours on Christmas day there, only to receive food after 5 and a half hours. Bad management and rude staff.   We took my mom out for her birthday and what a disappointment of note....
  Waste of a great setting on bad management ...
  Positives : great view and setting, waitress was very pleasant and helpfull,weather was awesome
  Negatives:
  1.Food takes more than an hour to arrive 20 minutes apart from the first dish to the last half plated dish. Fish and calamari was good but not worth the pay
  Pizza is basic and frozen base
  Mussels is plain mussels witj garlic and plain brown bread for R60 ripoff
  2.Cocktails is a cheat for R60 with a barman/manager/coward treating woman/customers without respect and refusing to look into the matter of a maithai that is served by them completely wrong and diluted.
  3.Owner/coward Has the worst stinking attitude of all threatening me with security after pushing me and stepping on my foot with his steel leg and claiming victim (coward)and a worker threatening me with a knife and swearing one word after the other after trying to discuss the bad experience and attitud...Read more

  Casual and quirky beach bar - literally on the beach, with old fishing boats repurposed as tables, cold beers and G&Ts and a limited menu. But let’s face it, you’re not here for the food – it’s all about the view and the vibe
  
  Having said that, the calamari strips and chips were pronounced good by the men, and oily by the women. The snoek pate was more like snoek mayonnaise, but it was tasty. A fun place for a simple lunch.
