  Amazing special. Chicken and Prawn Curry. Absolutely delicious and only R99.We had a view of the ocean and a superb meal. What a bargain !

  Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Our waiter, Pardon, gave us exceptional service with a humorous, quick wit that entertained us, made us feel welcomed as well as comfortable at the Wharfside Grill Restaurant, Mariner’s Wharf in stunningly beautiful Hout Bay. His suggestion for wine with our meal was incredibly perceptive. This was the first white wine that my wife truly enjoyed since we arrived in South America 2 months previous to today. Thank you, Pardon! He even arranged for us to have a case ready for us when we were ready to leave.
  My wife and I shared mussels marinniere and an order of their Calaprawnia. Wow! The meal was to die for! The dishes were served promptly and the food was fresh and delicious.   The green fish curry is a total joke I did call the owner and tell him More than 50% of the dish was vegies I will never return here

  I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the Thai Curry. It is accurately costed and consists of baby marrows, peppers and Kingklip (150g) which works out to be 50% vegetables and 50% Kingklip in the curry. If you were not happy on the day we would have gladly changed the dish (as long as you had not eaten the whole dish). I see you gave 3/5 stars and I would be interested to know how the rest of your companions meal(s) were?   This restaurant has the perfect venue and really inspires an old school fishermans vibe in its decor. We we seated on a misty evening facing out the windows down into the bay. Stunning view. The inside did feel a bit dingy but it kind of added to the ship vibe. The service was efficient and friendly, and the free bread was delicious.
  
  We ordered a few cocktails which were unfortunately way too sickly sweet. Luckily the food made up for the drinks, as everything we ate was divine. My boyfriend had the fish and chips which was yum, the batter was nice and the fish was tasty. I had the calamari steak which blew my mind... it was so tender and the lemon garlic sauce was soo good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The did forget my mother-in-laws side order of veg but she didn't mind too much.
  
  The prices are a bit steep but the quality is really good, so definitely save up and make a trip down if you're ever in Hout Bay....Read more

  Good views of the beach and good selection of meals on the menu. Very understated restaurant but food is always fresh. Decent prices.Some good craft beer too.
