Beijing Chinese Restaurant is a cosy dining spot in Rynfield, Benoni. Walking through the doors the Asian-themed décor jumps out at you. Between the colour scheme, the various ornamental touches, and of course, the restaurant’s name, it is glaringly obvious that this is a Chinese restaurant.
However, despite the strong emphasis on China, the menu boasts a largely Japanese offering in the form of sushi - Asian none-the-less and the sushi options are appealing. Choose between rainbow rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, California rolls, nigiri, maki rolls and more, with fillings such as salmon, crab, vegetables, prawn and tuna. Basically all the standard sushi options as well as some house-specialties.

You can order either individual items or the extremely good value platters, such as the 34 piece combo platter. You can choose to eat in or take-away your order.
The restaurant décor is very oriental, at least in the way that we in the WEST have come to understand oriental. The space has a cosy feel to it, and although it is small, it isn’t cramped. This is definitely at least partly thanks to the large windows which cast sunshiny light into the eatery. The walls are a peachy orange colour, as are the chairs, which are covered in an Oriental-style cover, complete with gold-coloured buttons. Lanterns hang from the ceiling and the tables are decked in layers of white, embossed cloth over a soft peachy-coloured cloth. The tables are neatly laid with white crockery and cutlery.
