Who are we?
Delta Café started as a small café in 2014, run out of a renovated cottage on the grounds of Reea. Over the years we have developed into a two venue restaurant that is still in the process of becoming the final product we have envisioned for so long. While many of our customers so kindly rate us “5 Star” we love to put the emphasis on casual dining. This isn’t the place to wear ball gowns and tuxedos (but we won’t complain if you do!) But rather a place to enjoy a bit of nature in our urban jungle, and get away from the madness of the modern world for a while.
Who do we serve?
This is a multi ended question – not only are we a dog loving, family orientated restaurant that is the “best spot on the spruit” for all your breakfast and lunch needs, but with our new developments we are now able to serve incredible dinners, cater for special occasions as well as that quick after work, wind down drink. Thanks to your support, we are able to continue our outreach work that has been a driving force behind our hard work since we opened. Along with handing over a portion of our turn over in support of Reea; we also take part in a very successful feeding scheme – Jan Hormeyer – which in turn feeds over 100 children each week. This coupled with our promise to not “poach” staff from other restaurants, but instead create employment opportunities for our awesome staff who have never worked in the industry before, it’s clear to see that your support goes so much further than what meets the eye. So, who do we serve? Hopefully, everyone who comes in contact with us – one way or another.
When can you book?
We only accept bookings from 12:00 onwards – This is to ensure our loyal customers will always be able to pop in for a delicious breakfast or a cup of coffee after their walk on the spruit. From 12:00 we are more than happy to reserve tables for whatever your heart may desire. When should you book? We kindly ask that should you be arriving with a party of 8 or more people, ensure that you have made a booking. We cannot guarantee there will be enough space for your group, and in order to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible, by booking you allow us to ensure we have enough staff on hand to give you everything you need to have a lovely day out.
