The Orient K1 Asian and Sushi Bar in Hout Bay offers the very best sushi and Chinese food options at the most unbelievable prices. Situated at Red Sails Centre on Hout Bay Main Road this eatery is on the left hand side on the way to Chapman’s Peak Drive if you’re coming through from the southern suburbs. There is plenty of safe parking available and the venue offers a smart conveyor belt, some table seating inside and additional outdoor seating for al fresco dining. There is a shady patio area which is extremely popular in the summer months or on warm winter days and the take-away section is also a great option for those that want to enjoy their Asian meal on one of the many Chapman’s Peak picnic sites just a few minutes away.

The restaurant is run by a lovely team of friendly, hands-on Chinese people, headed up by Windee and Sarah, who are proud of their authentic sushi and exceptional Chinese food. Store opening hours are 11am to 10pm daily and unbelievably sushi is available at the special deal of Buy 1 Get 1 Free of any same color plate all day every day at K1 Sushi Bar. The special is ongoing. That’s for sit down and take-away. Prices range from R46 for the green plate and go up to R65 for the yellow plates which are the most expensive ones. All sushi is freshly made as you order.
What’s even more unbelievable is that there are also several well priced K1 Sushi Combos available that range from only R75 (for 11 pieces) to R298 (for 34 pieces). There is a 75 piece Platter available for only R599 and an 80 piece Family Platter available for only R699.

The Chinese meals are delicious and incredibly affordable. There is a different special available daily which is also Buy 1 Get 1 Free of the same dish.

If you’re wanting to order platters or take-aways it’s always best to order in advance. It is recommended that you order at least an hour and a half beforehand if it’s a weekend or a public holiday, especially in the Summer months.
