The Classic India Fourways branch is one of 3 restaurants in The Classic India stable. As the name suggests, you can expect an array of meals prepared and cooked in the traditional Indian way. There is a big emphasis placed on the traditional dishes and the flavours will transport you to the Indian sub-continent.

The menu at all three of the branches has been designed by the restaurant chain’s executive chef. The chef is a native of North India, and thus the menu is largely focused on dishes from this region. There are also some items from other parts of India, namely Goa and the South, but one thing you can be certain about is that all of the menu items will be authentic and delicious.
Dishes which come highly recommended include the lamb rogan josh, which consists of boneless lamb cooked in a spice-filled Kashmiri gravy, a recipe originating from Kashmir, and the chicken vindaloo, a Goan favourite of spicy chicken with hints of lemon and coconut. To accompany your meal, there is an extensive wine list which was selected by knowledgeable wine consultants. It consists of a range of Cape Winelands products, with options to compliment just about any meal you select.
The Fourways restaurant is situated within the Cedar Square Shopping Centre, ensuring a safe location and easy parking. The restaurant is spacious with large windows and simple décor. Think high-backed leather chairs around neatly laid tables and a neutral colour scheme of black, cream and brown. At The Classic India, it is the food which takes you on a journey.
