The Verandah Bistro is a delightful little eatery and the perfect place to pop in for breakfast, a light lunch or a coffee date. This little Krugersdorp coffee shop has been running since 2006 and from day one, the veranda itself has been a favourite attribute.

The indoor décor is cosy but light with stylish touches throughout. Caramel-coloured walls are bedecked with mirrors in gilt frames and wooden floors and the comfy furniture give the place a homey feel. Outside, the wide deck and garden are great places to soak up the sun’s warmth on a cloudless day, while sipping a coffee and tucking into a croissant or pile of pancakes.
At the opposite end of the scale, the indoor area with its fireplace should be your first point of call when looking for a lunch or breakfast venue in the colder months. Spending an hour chatting over a plate of ravioli or, for the hungry, the rump balsamico dish, will not be an hour you forget easily.

Some of the dishes you can expect to see on the menu include the ‘Verandah specialties’ like chicken Florentines and grilled calamari, or pasta options such as haloumi ravioli and alfredo. They also prepare a nice high tea with the choice between sweet and savoury options. Normal coffee shop fare – tramezzinis, salads and toasted sandwiches – also make an appearance as do burgers and cakes!
The Verandah Bistro caters for special functions and you may consider the venue when planning your baby-shower, kitchen tea or year-end celebrations. There is plenty of secure parking to go around, so this should be the least of your worries.
