In 2007, they opened Hamiltons Restaurant, 300 metres from the the Melalane entrance to the Kruger National Park. The restaurant is built on the foundations of an old trading store and is open all day from 9am until after dinner.
The vision for the restaurant was to create a relaxed family restaurant that offers the unique flavours of South African Contemporary food and embraces the use of the seasonal, fresh produce found in this prolific agricultural area. This hands-on family run restaurant is great for families with children as it has a relaxed outdoor eating area as well as a calm and cool, classic colonial feel indoors.
Homemade breads and pastas, home-grown veggies and herbs and locally farmed fruit form the base of the menu at Hamiltons Restaurant. The restaurant offers a carefully selected wine list as well as traditional favourite dishes with a special twist. Recommended dishes include the Garden Salad with Roasted Vegetables, the Roasted Pork Belly and the Lemon Tart.
