Stanford Valley Guest Farm nestles in the valley of the Klein Rivier, 10km outside Stanford village. The Manor House Restaurant was opened in November 2015 by Elsabe and Reinder Nauta. The Nauta's dream was to provide a beautiful setting where people could spend leisurely, happy hours while enjoying excellent food - AND wine! Diners can enjoy upmarket country cooking, prepared by the renowned all-female kitchen team.
They focus on fresh ingredients…and although their organic garden is still too small to be the only source, the staff try their utmost to support 'low food miles', therefore making use of local suppliers.
Although the building is a typical old farmhouse, the interior forms a beautiful contrast with the mid-century décor – all furniture pieces were selected carefully to create an edgy, art-deco visual experience. The restaurant is complemented by unique art exhibitions (both private collection and for-sale by local and international artists) and beautiful views of the Akkedisberg mountains.

The Manor House Restaurant is quickly becoming a firm favourite as a celebration venue. Therefore, although the normal operating hours are Wednesday – Sunday, please do not hesitate to contact management should you wish to make a group booking on any other day of the week! Charming farm cottages are also available on the premises should accommodation be required as part of the culinary excursion.
